Scholarship Criteria for The Annie L. Dawson Scholar’s AwardPURPOSE: The Annie L. Dawson Foundation awards scholarships to college-bound high school students based on demonstrated academic achievement, financial need, and an express interest in
pursuing a college degree. CRITERIA: The students eligible for assistance must be graduating high school students who reside in Northeast Ohio and intend to attend a two or four-year college or university. Consideration will be given to academic achievement, financial need and the student's community service record. Students should submit a scholarship application to their school guidance counselors office. GUIDELINES: Scholarships will be awarded on an annual basis and disbursed in a one time payment directly to the intended educational institution. Students must be in good standing and maintain no lower than a 2.0 grade point average or equivalent. AMOUNT: Each scholarship awarded will be a minimum of $500 and not to exceed $2,000, in a one-time payment. This award is not renewable. DEADLINE: The application deadline is April 19, 2024. The deadline is the date after which applications will no longer be accepted. The Dawson Foundation uses the postmarked dates to determine mailed entries.
